Last week DOR linked up with Birmingham based MC and spoken word artist Kinnie Daley for a video shoot in Shoreditch alongside the amazing videographer and photographer Michael Afrifa. The visuals are for The Delegates Of Rhyme mix of Kinnie’s track Keep On Pushing. After previous collaborations, and Vice producing his Melodies Of A Nice Guy project, it was great opportunity for the trio to link up and build upon an already released track that has already had a great response. Check out the track below, and stay tuned for the video coming soon!
So! This year the DOR Family have been regularly saying that new music is soon to be released! Well it’s true! Over the coming months the fruits of our musical labour will be revealed, and the first seed to be released is that of Bristol based rhymer C-Froo and Vice with the brand new Unit 1 EP, released on the 16th October of Crudely Cut Records, the label that is home to the likes of Deb Tebiase, Social Conscience, Tom Long and many more. The EP is the first of a trilogy, offering amazing local collaborations withe the likes of Jonny Steele of The Scribes, Miss Twist, Mista Switch of Crudely Cut and DOR’s very own Donnie Numeric.
The EP was launched last week at the amazing Wordlife one year celebration. The event featured live performances from The Delegates Of Rhyme, Skrilla UGQ, Mr Inglorious, 2 Deep and the launch set for C-Froo and Vice. The crowd were packed into the Snug on Stokes Croft, and from 11:30 Vice dropped beats for back to back DOR and Unit 1 sets. The buzz was tangible and the head nodding beats and bars were a great introduction to the new project. Visuals for the project are soon to be released courtesy of SA Media. The EP’s feature graphics from Mr Riks of the infamous KTF Crew and Elusive Designs. Avilable on limited Edition CD and digital download from Bandcamp now.
We Never Miss is one of two tracks that feature Donnie Numeric. The project as a whole also features regular DOR collaborators including
Alex-Is and Phil Jeong, alongside Social Conscience and Tony Stone.
Please support Vice and C-Froo, and stay tuned for more music from the duo very soon.
Let’s keep it moving!
Donnie recently performed at Beats & Bars in Streatham, supporting the super talented Wake Self. MathMatix caught up with him to drop a little accapella rhyme. we hope you’re enjoying your Bank Holiday weekend.
On this carnival weekend, with a massive few days of music in the UK including Reading and Leeds Festival offering an even stronger Hip Hop line up this year, we feel blessed to have the opportunity for Donnie Numeric to be interviewed by the legendary Wordplay Magazine.
Not only that, Split Vision Photography got in on the action with an amazing photoshoot, making the lyrical wizard look all blue and stylish!
Anyway, save your reading eyes for this rather nice little interview, and a massive thank you to Wordplay for the opportunity. Here it is!….
Man we’re humbled by this!
Over the last few months we’ve been developing some amazing imagery and visuals with Bristol’s ridiculously dope Uchi Clothing (www.uchi.co.uk)
The first step is a subtle one, like the messages we attempt through our music. Can you see what we’re talking about?!
This is a humbling and amazing experience for us. We still can’t believe we’re collaborating with such talented designers and illustrators.
This is just our up close pic so you can spot our little part of this great design, but you can check the Supafresh Returns tee in it’s full beauty here –
Peace and blessings and you’ll be hearing from us very soon!
hey up peeps!
We just wanted to check in with you and let you know that we still exist! We are busy working on new material, collaborations, and some exciting support on the horizon. Look out for an exclusive mix Vice has been putting together for a super fresh clothing company, and an acoustic video of one of the first tracks we ever released.
