Birmingham based producer Vice (of Genius Collective) and London based MC Donnie Numeric (of League of Awkward Men & The Popables) revealed their first track from their collaborative project back in 2012. Under the pseudonym of “The Delegates Of Rhyme”, the project creates a soulful blend of UK Hip Hop, with the debut album featuring some incredible guest appearances, including Great Scott, Jimmy Davis, Seraphin, Joe Bird (Raptorial) and many more. Due to be released mid / late 2013, “Assemblage” is set to make it’s mark in the UK Hip Hop scene.
This exclusive cut makes up part of brand new clothing label Rhyme Square’s mixtape – Introductions. The project can be downloaded absolutely free from Rhyme Square’s Bandcamp or hitting the image below.
Stay tuned for more sneak cuts from the Delegates of Rhyme debut project in the near future.
This track was originally released on 21st September 2012.
The album version features an alternative version of “Spark” with a guest vocalist (yet to be revealed!) and a few other little bits and bobs, more to be revealed soon!
Welcome to the world of the Delegates Of Rhyme.
Delegates Of Rhyme maybe a new name on the scene to some, but Vice and Donnie Numeric have been around for a while.
Vice has worked for years teaching production and lyric writing around the country, specialising in working with kids with SEN. On top of this, his band Genius Collective have supported some of the biggest names in UK music, including Lazy Habits, Paper Tiger, Smoove & Turrell, Stigg Of The Dump and many more.
In addition, Vice created the Arts Council funded Basement Sessions online community and live events, and supporting upcoming and established artists to have a platform. Backed by the likes of TY, Brotherman, Soweto Kinch, Eat Good Records, Disorda / Suspect Packages, and many more. The collaborative compilation “The Headspace Mixtape” featured a whole host of UK and international artists, providing over 2 hours of original music, including a bunch of exclusives from TY, Lowkey, Fallacy, Juice Aleem and many many more, including tracks from Skuff & Inja of the Delegates Of Culture.
Donnie Numeric has stood strong in the lyricism community, frequently working with heavyweight producers and MC’s including KMT, Mick Swagga and many more. His live band, The Popables, offered a beautiful blend of Jazz, Soul and Hip Hop, with Donnie as the front man, speaking words of wisdom live to the nation on a stage by stage basis!
On top of this, the duo have collaborated and assisted loads of artists, being constant members of the UK Hip Hop and live scene. D.O.R. maybe be a new name, but this duo know the game from which they came.
This blog will give you the latest information on the duo, what they’re up to, forthcoming release, and any previews and beat treats to be had by themselves and their extended family.
Over the next few weeks we will be sure to introduce the crew properly, but for now, welcome, and thank you for your support.
