Up next on our creative journey we are proud to introduce EDM / Glitch Hop producer Mr. Bim. Hailing from Bristol, his quirky and well crafted sound has been turning head on the DJ scene for many a year. Nortoriously humble, much like the super talented Audiosnax (check yesterday’s post!) Mr. Bim has built up an arsenal of glitchy vibes over the years. Check his trippy visual adventure that is –

Bim has worked closely with Vice of The Delegates Of Rhyme alongside Audiosnax, helping the young people in Bristol begin their musical pathways. As an Ableton Live enthusiast, his setup is a wired matrix of cables and samplers of all shapes and sizes! This fella has a memorable and unique style. Check

See you on tomorrow, cos the Hip Hop don’t stop!

LAWTD…The countdown continues – 3 days to go – Introducing Audiosnax

countdown - 3 days to go

In a mere 3 days time, The Delegates Of Rhyme are releasing the video for their brand new single “Look At What They Do” featuring the incredible vocal talents of BBE signed vocalist and multi-instrumentalist. The video will be premiered on http://www.wordplaymagazine.com THE home of UK Hip Hop. To celebrate and countdown the release we will be releasing daily graphics featuring stills from the video, at the same time as telling you a little bit about each of the artists, remixers and the videographers involved in the making release happen.

OK! With our 3 days left point in the countdown, we start digging deeper into the shady, dark and way too humble for their own good World of the remixers! We are VERY excited to introduce Don’t Sleep family member, DJ and Producer Audiosnax. Mr. Snax has quietly been operating within Bristol’s Hip Hop scene for a number of years. As a DJ partner with the super dope Five Stylez, the duo were part of the stellar line up for 2014’s “J Dilla Saved My Life” at The Exchange. Check out the J-Dilla Saved My Life mini-doc..

Audiosnax is a true production perfectionist. Ensuring every element is sonically correct, his remix of Look At What They Do takes the track to another level, involving some super tight cuts, alongside cleverly and painstakingly pieced together spoken elements to form something that is much more than a remix, it’s a re-work of the highest calibre, and we’re humbled to have this seriously talented producer on board for the release of LAWTD! Check out just a few of his earlier productions here, and please note that he is currently working on new material, so stay tuned to his Soundcloud and of course the DOR’s website for further updates…

Sa ya later Hip Hoppers!

countdown - 4 days to go

In only 4 days time, The Delegates Of Rhyme are releasing the video for their brand new single “Look At What They Do” featuring the incredible vocal talents of BBE signed vocalist and multi-instrumentalist. The video will be premiered on http://www.wordplaymagazine.com THE home of UK Hip Hop. Rolling on with another element of the video, we would like to introduce Street Soul Studios. The studio features in the video for Look At What They Do, and is the production and recording home of Vice alongside The Delegates Of Rhyme, C-Froo, Teez, Why G? (Zulu Nation) and many more. The studio has featured in a number of videos, including Vice’s previous band Genius Collective’s acoustic tribute to Amy Winehouse:

Street Soul Studios is a non-profit space, that offers young musicians the opportunity to develop their skills in a relaxed, industry standard space. Alongside working with young people, the space has become a creative hub for recording and rehearsing. The residents including the unique vocal talent of Lady Nade, talented singer / songwriter Scarlett Shox, and various artists passing through for rehearsals and a jam space, including the amazing Hannah WIlliams and The Tastemakers –

With a whole bunch of talent coming out of what the Bristol Post described as the “Music Lovers Bedroom” this small and perfectly formed space is well worth a trip to Saint Paul’s for! Check out one of the talented young performers that Vice is currently working with at Street Soul, 15 year old Teez, who has recently been named by Rife Magazine as one of the 24 under 24 to watch in Bristol:

LAWTD…The countdown continues – 5 days to go – Introducing Sam Dyson

countdown - 5 days to go

In just 5 days time, The Delegates Of Rhyme are releasing the video for their brand new single “Look At What They Do” featuring the incredible vocal talents of BBE signed vocalist and multi-instrumentalist.

To continue with our barrage of creativity we would like to welcome the star of the Look At What They Do show… Sam Dyson! Having relocated from the Big Smoke to Bristol in 2013, Sam is a humble, and amazingly talented producer, engineer (and drummer although he plays it down!). He built Free House Studios in Saint Paul’s from the ground up, eventually forming an incredible fully soundproofed, and amazing quality studio that sees myriad of talent including Brotherman and Sounds Of Harlowe through it’s doors.  Sam is the longterm engineer and producer for Brotherman, including recording this amazing rework of the London based MC’s UK Hip Hop Classic “Heart Of Dem”:

The studio built a rep for itself back in 2012, when it literally rolled up to Boombap Festival in a trailer! They guys Free House team offered a mobile recording space to headline acts and upcoming MCs alike. We’ve got alot of love for what Sam is doing, and we’d highly recommend that if you want some drums recorded REALLY well, or you just want an engineer who really knows their setup, at the same time as being in a proper recording environment, you should get in touch with Free House Studios. Check out some of the audio they’ve recorded of late:

So, that’s it really! Get hold of a brother!
